The Volvo group
Several projects over a long period of time, for example, evaluation of management teams in several of the companies as well as the parent company Volvo AB, a survey of the values and views on management (management teams in many of the companies and the parent company), instruments to identify potential talent for management capability within the company group, measuring value base in women and their mentors, diverse management development programmes.

Sydkraft
A long-term project in the whole of the company concerning aims, visions and management that was completed with a presentation for the company management and board.

Apoteket AB (Swedish Pharmacy chain)
Various R&D projects and in-house training and company development projects with, amongst others, a long-term project embracing the whole of the company with the aim of creating a platform for management within the company. Dialogues and idea seminars at management and lower levels resulted in a document and a platform for the further development of the management.

Posten (Swedish Postal Service)
Several projects at both a national and regional level have been carried out. A few examples include an extensive survey of management in the most and least successful units, supervising various projects at the Postal Service College, projects on aims, visions and management.

Federation of Swedish County Councils
Have worked closely with the Federation of Swedish County Councils for many years and have often been engaged as a lecturer at conferences for, for example, county council directors, hospital management, high-level female managers. Furthermore the Federation of Swedish County Councils has funded two major research projects, which resulted in two books being published “County Council Management” and “Bridge Building” (both in Swedish). The latter of these was written in co-operation with the Swedish Association of Local Authorities.

I have led and lead several long-term development programmes, lectured, supervised management groups and carried out various R&D projects in most of the County Councils and regions in Sweden. Examples of the most comprehensive development work include the following:

Region Skåne - a regional public body responsible for health, medical and dental services in Skåne
Several projects have been carried out including: long-term management development for leading politicians and adminstrators in different committees and boards in the region. The work was documented in the form of a book published with the title “Being successful with a challenging task – a study of steering and dialogues with citizens” (in Swedish). Management development for hospital managers and managers of clinical departments at the University Hospital in Malmö as well as at the hospitals in Lund, Kristianstad, Helsingborg and Ängelholm. Management evaluations of clinical departments and the mangement group at the University Hospital in Malmö. Management development of a number of groups of administrators within the region as well as organization development. Supervision of a number of management groups in the region. An outward-looking focus, in both national and international terms and also a study trip.

Region Västra Götaland
Several long-term projects have been carried out in the region. Among these are the following: management development for the political leadership (including the chairman of the Board of the Region) together with the administrative management, have also lectured on many occasions in management development programmes for health service managers, long-term development programme and network for female leaders. An outward-looking focus, in both national and international terms and also a study trip.

Stockholm County Council
A major R&D project on why there are so few women at top management level with a focus on what is obstructing this development. Women in top management positions at the Karolinska University Hospital and the administrative section were interviewed. The documentation of the work was published in the book “Leadership in top management – a question of belonging to the right sex? Evaluation of management in the administrative section of the West Stockholm hospital board together with a number of commissions for surveying and developing the performance of management.

County Council of Gävleborg
Co-operation over a period of many years covering a number of extensive R&D projects on management where, amongst others, hospitals, primary care units etc were surveyed and several projects carried out. A comprehensive evaluation of the organization of the Public Dental Service in the county was performed. Have worked with management development with the County Council management group for several years where an international focus and study trips have been a feature of this work. Have worked with the development of the political leadership and have carried out a number of work climate measurements.

County Council of Kronoberg
Several long-term management development programmes at the County Hospital in Växjö and the hospital in Växjö. Evaluation of management groups and directors. Management development programmes for the political leadership in the county council. International R&D project and networking with a focus on management and organization in Sweden, Denmark, Italy and Portugal, resulting in the book ”Building a network for learning in a European perspective”. Supervisor for a number of management groups in the county council. Lecturer on several management development programmes and have carried out a number of work climate measurements.

County Council of Blekinge
Management development programme and supervision of mangement groups within the primary care system for several years. Evaluation of management in primary care. Training interview techniques with doctors responsible for recruiting doctors as house officers and for specialist qualification training positions. Lecturer on a number of management development programmes.

County Council of Dalarna
Co-operation over a period of many years covering a number of projects such as surveying hospital and primary care management, also work with the leadership of the County Council leadership on the development of aims and visions, have participated in various management development programmes as well as carrying out management development and evaluation of management within the primary care system and have carried out a number of work climate measurements.

County Council of Jönköping
Have participated as a lecturer in several management development programmes. Have for many years worked with organization development and management training in the Laboratory administration as well as evaluating the management. R&D work on organizational changes and new management roles, which resulted in a written report. Have also carried out a number of work climate measurements.

The Swedish Association of Local Authorities
The Swedish Association of Local Authorities have funded the international research project on management and organization of regions and local authorities (together with the Federation of County Councils), which resulted in the book “Bridge Building” (in Swedish). Furthermore the Swedish Association of Local Authorities have funded a major research project on female leaders in local authorities, which was presented in the book “Women in top management in local authorities – a study of good examples” (in Swedish). Have also often been engaged as a lecturer for management level and leading politicians under the auspices of the Swedish Association of Local Authorities.

City of Stockholm
A major R&D project with a focus on the top management in the City of Stockholm, which has resulted in a written report.

An ongoing R&D project concerning ethical diversity and leadership.

Gothenburg Region
In the Gothenburg region, R&D West, a comprehensive research project on the relationship between management and staff on sick leave was carried out in 2004-2005, all the local authorities in the region participated. The final results were presented in a book in December 2005 that received much media attention.

Have often been engaged as a lecturer for various management development programmes in the city of Gothenburg as well as in a number of other municipalities in the region.

Have worked with management development programmes in many of Sweden’s local authorities – in this context I have also given lectures to managers from Russia in a co-operation project with the Stockholm City municipal administration as well as to top management in local authorities and county council authorities as a part of a training programme for Scandinavian managers. Furthermore I have worked closely with a number of County Associations of Local Authorities with specialist commissions for politicians and leading administrators.

Have given lectures on and have completed R&D work on management for The Swedish Association of Managers, which has resulted in the book “Managers and Management” (in Swedish).

A comprehensive management development programme and network for female leaders over a number of years in the following local authorities: Markaryd, Gävle, Uddevalla, Vänersborg, Bengtsfors and Munkedal.

Organization surveys in several local authorities and county council authorities – amongst others in Region Skåne, County Council of Kronoberg, County Council of Jönköping, municipality of Alvesta.

A large-scale R&D work in the municipality of Gävle where the relationship between management and ill health has been surveyed at a number of workplaces, selected as being representative of those with a large number of staff on sick leave and those with a small number of the same. Have evaluated the municipality’s management development programme over a long period of time. Have participated in a number of different management programmes as well as being responsible for a network for and management development programme for female leaders.

A large – scale R&D work in the municipality of Nynäshamn where the relationship between management and health has been surveyed.

An ongoing management development program and network for managers.

Training programmes for school leaders in several local authorities and have given lectures at Scandinavian and European conferences for school leaders.

Supervision of a management group in one of the districts in the Malmö City municipal administration.

Have for several years worked with the development of values and visions and completed a survey of the work climate at HT buss in Denmark as well as support and development work with the management group.
